教科書問題（教科書検定）

この時期になると決まって取り上げられる問題ですが、多くの人にとっては「中国や韓国がやたらと怒ってるなぁ～」という印象くらいしかないかもしれません。

ただ、これって実はとんでもないことなんです。

何が？　というと、

中国や韓国の主張が。ということになります。　・・・当り前ですが。

教育、特に初等教育（小学校～高校における教育）の内容をどのように決めるかという問題は、それぞれの国家、そして国民の専権事項であり、他国の政府が口を挟むような性質の問題ではありません。おもいっきり 内政干渉 ですから。　これは世界的な常識で、いまの日本の教科書問題を他国（もちろん中国や韓国以外の国々）の人が聞いたら、驚きや呆れを通り越して「ひく」だろうと思います。

もしかしたら、中国や韓国の側には「教科書の内容は政府がしっかりと統制すべき」という感覚があるのかもしれません。

しかし、日本には言論の自由があります。

日本の教科書は民間の出版社がそれぞれの考えで編んでいるわけで、それがどんな内容であっても政府から出版が妨げられることはありません。ただ、それを教科書として使う場合に限って、教科書検定という名のチェックがなされるだけなのです。

ですから万が一、教科書検定の現場において文部科学省が、「この内容では近隣諸国の反発を招きかねない」というだけの理由で教科書としての不採択を判断するようなことになれば、言論の自由（表現の自由）、教育の自由、の観点から問題となるわけです。

私自身、たとえば扶桑社の教科書の依る立場を全面的に支持しているわけではありませんが、それを他国から文句を言われることについては黙っていられません。

「それを言うなら、あなたたちが作る教科書の反日アジテーションを削除してくれ」

と言いたいところですが、それを言ったら彼らはきっとこう言い返してくるでしょう。

「それは 内政干渉 だ」

と。
